Moneyball and The Houston Rockets

The opening movie “Moneyball” is one the best-selling books written Michael Lewis. Money ball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game was about the Oakland Athletics baseball team published in 2003. However, Michael’s book impacted the way the Houston Rockets built a franchise.
Daryl Morey is the general manager of the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association. His impact of this book has helped the Rockets build a franchise. His plan is to compete successfully against teams or richer competitors in the National Basketball League such as the Celtics and the Lakers. He notice that general manager Billy Beane for the Oakland Athletics was focus on and is now trying to re-evaluate strategies that produce wins on the basketball courts. However, Brad Pitt played a important role in Moneyball. He was Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane. Most people are saying that this is his year of winning the Oscar but he is not the actor that people usually pick.
I haven’t watched this movie or read the book yet. But the trailer and article of this movie gives coaches, managers, and players of any sports good information that has predictive power that is useful. This book hasn’t only impact the way the Houston Rockets has built a franchise but has also made managers focus on the team opportunities, analytical, and a specialized or statistical analysis used to approach to assembling competitive sports team.
